Ries is a Buenos Aires based design studio dedicated
to design and produce contemporary furniture, objects and spaces. From the
crossover of combining different materials with production processes that are
rooted both in craft and industry, the pieces created by the studio seek to
elevate the experience of the everyday living.
The studio was founded in 2016 and is directed by Marcos Altgelt and Tasio
Picollo.
For this year’s OFFSITE Selects, we’ll
present our new Aro Chair, which is comprised by a three legged matte black
powder coated steel structure, a soft rose velvet seat, and a folded &
rolled polished aluminium back/arm rest.
Each part of the chair is made separately as they involve different processes,
which coexist in the final product when they are assembled.
